Alevo is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of skin, kidneys, sinuses, prostate and bladder.

 

 

How it works?

 

The constituents excreted by this antibiotic exert antibacterial action by inhibiting the bacterial topoisomerase IV. As these enzymes are required by the bacteria to replicate, transcript and repair, this activity kills the bacteria. This medicine works on both gram negative and gram positive bacteria.

Levofloxacin is a synthetic antibiotic that belongs to the fluoroquinolone class. This medicine is used to treat severe and life threatening bacterial infections on which the other antibiotics have failed to respond.

 

 

Dosage information

 

In adults, the prescribed dosage is of 500mg once a day for 10 to 14 days. Let the doctor decide on the dosage and length of the course looking at the type of infection and its severity.
