CNN Tab is a potent antibiotic that is usually prescribed in conditions and infections such as tick fevers, typhoid, relapsing fever, rickettsial pox, chancroid, rocky mountain spotted fever, trachoma, septicemia, bacterial conjunctivitis and furunculosis.

How it works?

This medicine works by killing the bacteria by acting in both bacteriostatic and bactericidal ways. In acne, this medicine inhibits the growth of bacteria, thus bringing an end to the infection. This medicine works on both gram positive and gram negative bacteria.

Minocycline hydrochloride is a sterile antimicrobial agent that is used to treat various kinds of bacterial infections and acne. It is quite active against various bacteria species such as neisseria, shigella, salmonella, pseudomonas and campylobacter.

Dosage information

The usual recommended dosage to start with is of 50mg to 100mg. the doctor would adjust the dosage looking into the type of infection, condition of the patient and severity of infection.

What if you miss a dose?

Take the medicine daily as recommended by the doctor. In case, you miss a dose, take it immediately.

What if you overdose?

Take only the prescribed dosage as exceeding it could even prove fatal in certain conditions. In case, you have taken multiple doses, get in touch with a local poison center or a medical emergency center straight away.

Side Effects

Common side effects coming from the intake of CNN Tab are abdominal discomfort, joint pain, vaginal itching or discharge, swollen tongue, mild dizziness, discoloration of gums, headache, muscle pain, vision related problems, seizures, dizziness and tinnitus. Interaction with other drugs

Before you start taking CNN Tab, inform your doctor about the medicines that you are already taking. There are some drugs that could interfere with this medicine stopping it to work normally, such as acetaminophen, methotrexate, isotritinoin, ketoconazole, miconazole, warfarin, coumadin, niacin, itraconazole, fluvastatin, enalapril, naproxen, ibuprofen and indomethacin. Do not take CNN Tab without consulting your doctor if on an anti-diabetic drug.
