How it works?

The active ingredient in Aerocort forte rotacaps 200-200 mcg is Beclomethasone dipropinate and Levosalbutamol Sulphate. The beclomethasone is a steroid in the form of glucocorticoid that has an anti-inflammatory action which helps to stop the formation of chemical mediators that causes inflammation. On the other hand Levosalbutamol Sulphate is a beta receptor agonist which helps in exerting the bronchodilator effects and smoothens the breathing process.

Never swallow the Rotacap this is supposed to be taken  by inhalation with the help of Rota inhaler.  After using the inhaler you need to rinse your mouth immediately so as to avoid throat irritation.

Important information about Beclamethasone Dipropionate/ Levosalbuthamol

Beclamethasone/Levosalbutamol works actively by reducing the inflammation and relaxing the muscles of the affected airway passage, thereby giving sufficient relief to the patient. Levasalbutamol is a beta 2 adrenergic receptor that helps to relax the muscles in a smooth way that make breathing in and out of the lungs very comfortably.

You should remember one thing that is taking the medicine as prescribed by the doctor at the same time each day which will help to remember you daily and will decrease the chance of missing a dose.  Take the drug till the time the doctor recommends you

What if you miss a dose?

You need to take doctor’s advice immediately in case you miss a dose and see that you avoid over dose in order to cover up the dosage course.

 What if you overdose?

Patient should always consult the doctor because dosages differ from patient to patient with respect to their condition being treated. If the prescribed dose is not affecting do not take overdose it is better to consult your doctor.

Things to be taken care of

See that the medicine is kept out of reach of small children

This drug decreases the child’s growth velocity

Take care that it should not be taken for rapid relief of acute broncho-spasm
