What is Valzaar

This drug belongs to a family of angiotension II receptor antagonist which is mainly prescribed for the treatment of hypertension and high blood pressure. It stops blood vessels from narrowing which further increases the blood flow and reduces blood pressure. This drug holds a generic name Valsartan which is sold under various trade names including Valsartan and Valzaar (made by Torrent Pharma).

Important information about Valsartan

You should not take Valsartan (Valsartan, Valzaar) drugs if you have known allergy to it. To ensure that this drug is safe for you, let you doctor know if you have following conditions: congestive heart failure, kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis), liver disease, or if you are dehydrated. In some rare cases, Valsartan may results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, causing in kidney failure. Dosage Information
